Wow what a great Summer we had, lots of sunshine, warm weather and lots of campers. It was great to see so many people coming out to camp at weekends and during the odd day off during the week. The river was busy with people swimming and playing. It did get very shallow when we were not getting any rain to fill it up, but that didn't stop people finding a little hole to cool down in.

The big news is: We decided to sell our park and give someone else a chance to enjoy the great lifestyle in such beautiful surroundings. So if you come to Ashley Gorge Holiday Park after the 24th of July you will be dealing with the lovely new owners; Sally and Wayne Schist.

Sally and Wayne come to Ashley Gorge from Diamond Harbour. When they came to visit, they fell in love with the park, as we did almost 5 years ago, and now they get a chance to put a little bit of their personality into this special place, they get to know the wonderful campers who come back year after year and meet the interesting campers that are just here for a short stay. We would like to thank all our campers and visitors for their support over the last 5 summers. Your appreciation of our efforts to improve the park has made it all worthwhile. We are not moving far away as we have really come to love this area, and have made friends with the neighbours, who also have been very supportive. Hopefully we will now have time to spend socialising with some of the people who have become our friends during the time we have been guardians of this special part of Canterbury.
