Camp Shop Hours

The camp shop is available from 9.00am to 7.00pm during Summer & Spring and 9.00am to 5.00pm in Autumn & Winter. If checking in outside of these hours then please ring the bell for service. We stock a wide range of products, drinks and ice cream for your convenience. We have party ice, meat packs and vegetables in the freezer. A great selection of sweets & NZ made Pounamu (greenstone) for sale, a fantasic way to take a little piece of your NZ trip home with you.

We have a great selection of DVD's for hire and a 'swap a book' library. 

Arrival  Time 

1pm for cabins & bunkhouses, 12pm for power & tent sites. Cabin accommodation will be held up until 4pm on the day of arrival unless we have been otherwise notified.

Departure Time

10am for Cabins, In peak times 11am for tents, caravans, motorhomes. From April to November campers can enjoy a longer stay at Ashley Gorge Holiday Park with a late checkout of 2pm (Sorry not available for cabins or holiday weekends.

Payments

Balance of account is payable on arrival. Payment must be made for the full time booked. All Christmas-New Year booking must be paid in full in advance.

Caravans Must have an electrical warrant of fitness. Must have own wastewater container.

Tents
Electricity can only be connected through an approved RCD Safety Switch.

Parking
One vehicle to be parked on own site only. No parking of vehicles on camp road grass verges. Access ways to rear sites must be kept clear. Off-site extra parking for a second car or trailer is close by.

Speed
Vehicle speed in park is limited to a walking pace only - 5km.

Behaviour

In consideration of other campers we ask for:

- Reasonable behaviour at all times. No excessive drinking or loud noise.
- No noise after 10.30 pm
- Liquor can only be consumed on your site or in your unit
- Payment of a $50 per person behaviour bond may be required

Damage
Cost of damage to property or accommodation will be recovered.

Children
Please supervise children at all times to keep them safe. Bikes may be ridden in the park, but please make sure they wear helmets and do not ride near the main gate.

Pets
4 powered/unpowered sites only, available  for campers with well behaved dogs. Dogs are NOT allowed in the campground but can be taken on a lead to the Reserve & river. Please check availablity to book a site. Below is a pic of our pet friendly sites.

Visitors

Are your responsibility. Visitors must register at the camp office on arrival. There is a $5 charge per person for the use of our facilites during their visit with you.  Day visitors to depart before 10 pm. Overnight stay visitors must report to office before 8pm.

Gates
Ashley Gorge Road gates are locked at 10.00 pm each night till 7.30 am. There is a fee to open these outside these times.

Rubbish
Non-recyclable rubbish only to be put in rubbish bins. Glass, plastic, cardboard & paper is all recycled so please use Recycling Stations beside most rubbish bins, please do not put glass in rubbish. 

Fire Ban
All year round. Gas BBQs and Gas braziers only. No Fireworks.

Internet and Wifi
Thanks to the Internet Kiosk Specialist Ltd, we now have internet available for your use at the park. There is a  kiosk in the main camp kitchen where you can log on and pay by coin, or if you would prefer the privacy of your own space, there are Credit Card or Voucher pay systems (available from camp shop) for your convenience. Now you can check your emails, send messages, check up on family, work, or whatever else interests you. No need to feel isolated while on holiday. We are still working on how to improve our cell phone coverage for Telecom, most Vodafone users are able to get fairly good reception in the park but Telecom seems to be a bit of a problem, if any one has an answer to our problem let us know.

Facilities
Located in the centre of the camp which contains kitchens, laundry, toilets and showers.

Kitchens
Contain jugs, toasters, microwaves, cooking elements, ovens and fridge freezers. Put your name on all food your are storing in the fridge or freezers. Kitchens may be locked between 10.30 pm and 7 am.

BBQs
Provided for your use. Please leave clean for the next person.

Laundry
Washing machines (3 x $1 coins) and dryers (1 x $2 coin) are located in the laundry. Iron and ironing board provided. Turn off after use.

Showers
Operate on tokens, & can be purchased from the office. 1 token for 5-6 minutes. 

Cleaning
The kitchen and ablutions block are cleaned twice daily at 11am. During peak times cleaning will again be carried out in the evening. Facilities will be locked during this time and toilets are available at the Reserve.

Dump Station
Situated at corner of road to bunkrooms.

Basic Rules
Please observe the basic rules of the Holiday Parks Association of NZ. See Noticeboard. We ask for your co-operation so that your stay and the stay of other guests can be enjoyable.

Cancellation Policy
No Show = No refund - Any booking cancelled with more than 14 days notice will receive a refund of deposit less $10.00 admin fee and any card charges. - No refund for any booking cancelled within 14 days of arrival date unless unit or site can be relet for entire time for booking. - No refund for any booking cancelled within 24 hours of arrival.

PLEASE NOTE!
- Christmas/New Year bookings must be fully paid in advance.
- No booking is confirmed until a deposit is paid.
- Balance of fees outside of Christmas. New Year to be paid on ARRIVAL.
- Prices may be subject to change without notification.
- No refunds for early departures unless accommodation or site is re-let.
- Minimum stay applies over the Dec/Jan period and Long Weekends.
- Specific site subject to alteration if management find it necessary.
